The Russian company "Inter RAO" and "Ukrinterenergo" have signed a contract for electricity exports from Russia to Ukraine. The parties also agreed on ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supplies to Crimea. This was reported on Tuesday by the Department of Energy of the Russian Federation.
"The annual contract comes into force on December 30, 2014, and provides for a uniform schedule of deliveries of up to 1,500 MW. At the same time, in order to secure an uninterrupted power supply to Crimea a second agreement between a subsidiary structure of Inter RAO was signed by the Center for Energy Settlement (ERC) and Ukrinterenergo, the head of department Alexander Novak is quoted by RIA Novosti, news agency Trend reports.
