Wheat prices grow due to possible decline in Russian exports

The world market price of wheat is growing. This growth is related to the risk of a reduction in grain supplies from Russia.

According to the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), wheat futures for March delivery rose by 1.3% to $5.89 per bushel ($216.4 per ton), but then fell to $5.8775 per bushel, Bloomberg reports.

It was reported earlier that in order to "stabilize the situation on the domestic grain market," the Russian government has introduced an export duty on wheat from February 1. It will amount to 15% of the customs value plus €7.5, RBC notes.
