Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn signed a new three-year EUR 44.5 million program to assist Georgia in the implementation of the deep and comprehensive free trade agreement.

"The new 44.5 million euro program begins with the signing of the agreement, and will contribute to the development of the private sector in Georgia, as well as strengthen the capacity of small and medium-sized businesses. The Republic will also be able to realize an agreement on a deep and comprehensive free trade zone, which is part of the Association Agreement with the EU," News Georgia cited the press service of the administration of the Georgian government.

"Integration with the EU involves complex and painful reforms, but we are confident that in this way we will be supported," Garibashvili said at the signing of agreements.

According to him, in total Georgia will get 410 million euros in 2014-2017.
