The country is undergoing economic reforms and is adjusting prices for energy suppliers. This concerns petrol, diesel fuel, kerosine, oil-fuel, liquified gas, natural gas and electricity.
Iran produces 41,000 megawatts and consumes 41,600 megawatts. Some of its electricity is imported. The set power of Iranian power plants is 56,000 megawatts.
The electricity rates for the population are $0.0158 per kilowatt/h, industry - $0.0197 per killowatt/h and agriculture - $0.002 per kilowatt/h. The average world price is $0.12.
One kilowatt/h hour in Iran using the subsidized price for fuel is $0.0794.
Iran produces 600 million cubic m of gas daily. One cubic meter of gas for the population costs $0.0095, agriculture - $0.0151, the educational sphere - $0.0086, bakeries - $0.046, oil refineries and chemical industry - $0.0151 and for electric power plants - $0.0047.
