The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday that Iran was a "special case" for the organization's monitoring teams due to fears it may be concealing nuclear weapons programs, RIA Novosti reports. "Iran is a special case because, among other things, of the existence of issues related to the possible military dimensions to its nuclear program," Yukiya Amano told the closed meeting.
"Iran has not provided the necessary cooperation to permit the agency to confirm that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities," he added. His comments were made available to reporters after the meeting.
