The Georgian government is increasing administrative penalties and
penalties for road accidents will rise, Georgia Online reports.
According to Zurab Melikishvili, the changes are due to the rising
number of car accidents. Drunk drivers will be fined $180, handing the
steering wheel to a drunk person will be punished with $225. Driving
while under the effects of drugs and psychotropic substances will be
punished with $800. There will be an $800 penalty for driving an
unlicensed vehicle, violating this again will be punished with $1200
or administrative conviction of 90 days imprisonment. The bill was
