Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Zurich on Wednesday and
headed to Davos for the World Economic Forum, where he will make a
report, RIA Novosti reports.
Medvedev planned to visit the forum on Tuesday, but had to postpone
due to the terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport on Monday. 35 died
and over 100 were injured in the blast.
Medvedev’s press-secretary, Natalya Timakova, said that the
president’s program was reduced to two events. He will meet the
business council, which consists of representatives of 100 major
companies, and then make a speech at the opening of the forum.
The president will return to Moscow on Wednesday night. Timakova said
that the Russian side will try to fulfill all the other planned
actions. The Russian delegation in Davos is headed by Vice-Premier
Igor Shuvalov.
