Saakashvili's statements about Russia's complicity in the uranium
detained by Georgian police are baseless and unfounded, official
Russian Foreign Ministry representative Andrey Nesterenko said. His
statement is published on the official site of the ministry.
"The authorities in Tbilisi did not present any proof of the
involvement of Russia or any other state in this nuclear fuel. This
makes us think that this is not about real facts, but a
badly-organised provocation. The attempt to incite an anti-Russian
furore is obvious", his statement reads.
