Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reacted to the proposal of Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev to supervise Chechen children from problem
families, RIA Novosti reports.
Medvedev set the goal at a session of the council for development of
civil society and human rights in Yekaterinburg.
Kadyrov said that the society should take the program as a strategic
goal. Children from problem families are an easy target for criminals,
he said.
The Chechen leader underlined that over 200 teenagers were registered
for small crimes and vagrancy. He said that education structures,
heads of local administrations, public organizations were requested to
work with such children and study the state of affairs in every
family.
Kadyrov said that he talked with the president of the Regional Public
Fund named after Ahmat Kadyrov. The fund's president promised to
support children in complicated situations. The lists of low-income
families the fund will supervise, will be ready in a week.
