Chechen capital has lowest housing prices region

Chechen capital, Grozny, has the lowest prices for housing, compared with other Russian regional centers, Penny Lane Realty said.


Experts say that the average price for a square meter of housing is 22,300 rubles.


Grozny built 215,900 square meters of new housing in 2007, 250,400 square meters in 2008, 296,200 square meters in 2009 and 340,500 square meters in 2010.


The second position of the lowest housing prices belongs to Birobidzhan, the capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region, where the price is 24,600 rubles per square meter. The city had 35,000 square meters of new housing built in 2010.


The third position belongs to Ingush capital, Magas, where one square meter is worth an average of 25.800 rubles.


The fourth position belongs to Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, where a square meter of housing costs 28,900. Makhachkala built 242,500 square meters of housing in 2009 and 274,000 in 2010. The city plans to built 400,000-500,000 square meters in 2011-2015.


The rating is concluded with the capital of North Ossetia, Vladikavkaz, with 29.700 rubles per square meter. Vladikavkaz built 150,000 square meters in 2009 and 175,000 square meters in 2010.
