The police have identified the militants who attacked Moscow tourists in Kabardino-Balkaria in February. One of them is on the wanted list, the second one was killed a week ago, Yuga.ru reports.
The tourists visiting Elbrus were attacked in the Baksan District of Kabardino-Balkaria on February 18. Militants wearing camouflage shot them. Three tourists died and two were wounded. One theory says that the reason for the attack was that an Irina Patrusheva was in the tourist vehicle. The militants thought that she was a daughter of the Russian FSB Chief, Nikolai Patrushev.
The attack was carried out by locals from Nalchik, 28-year old Muzarin Ozov and 26-year old Azamat Sizhazhev. The latter was killed in a shootout with the police Baksan on April 14. They are also suspected of attacking police officers in Zalikokoazhe on February 2, 2011.
A criminal case was initiated into murder, attempted murder and illegal arms trafficking after the attack on tourists.
