The governor of Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Tkachyov, has proposed
the development of wine, agrarian and ethnographic tourism, RIA
Novosti reports.
Tkachyov held a council on ethnographic tourism on Thursday. He said
that Krasnodar Territory sees over 10 million tourists annually. The
region opened the ethnic Cossack village of Ataman in 2009, dedicated
to the history of Cossacks in the area. It was founded in the
Temruksky District, where the first Black Sea Cossacks arrived.
Guests can taste the borsch of Ataman and enjoy horse trick riders.
People have a chance to make pancakes or work at a blacksmith’s
themselves.
The governor believes that tourism companies need to work actively.
The region has 40 wine factories. Specialists are developing about 20
wine tours. There is great interest in the local wine.
