During the debates in the House of Europe in Tbilisi, Georgian
president Mikhail Saahashvili said that "For Georgia, Europe symbolizes
democracy and a free society, we are making headway on getting closer to
Europe", ITAR-TASS reports.
Aleksander Kwasniewski, the ex-President of Poland, who also took part
in the discussion, said he was last in Georgia in 2001. "During
these 9 years, your country has achieved great success in solving
several important social and economic problems".
The ex-president of Poland also met with Georgian vice-premier Temuri
Yakobashvili and foreign minister Grigol Vashadze. The
two countries cooperation and relations between Georgia and Russia were
discussed.
