Tbilisi will host a joint conference of NATO and Georgia on new
challenges of security on July 7-8, Trend reports.
The conference is held to support NATO security programs and the
Science for Peace Program. Experts, scientists from NATO and its
partner states will discuss security problems, such as internet
security, energy security and terrorism.
The conference will determine measures to prevent security risks and
proposed science projects.
A NATO delegation has arrived in Georgia this morning. Gabor Iklod,
NATO Assistant Secretary General for New Security Challenges, said
that over a hundred NATO officials will attend the conference.
Iklod underlined that it is important that Tbilisi had been elected as
the host for discussions of such significant topics of the Lisbon
summit.
