Turkey confirms installation of NATO radar in south-east

Spokesman of the Turkish Foreign Minister Selchuk Unal said that a
radar within the framework of US and NATO anti-missile systems will be
built in Turkey. Establishment of an anti-missile system was approved
at the NATO summit in Lisbon last year, RIA Novosti reports.

Deputy US State Department spokesman Mark Toner said in July that the
US is negotiating establishment of the European anti-missile system
with NATO members. US Deputy Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia

interceptor will be installed, as well as improved sensors and
extension of range.

The third stage will end in 2018, the SM-3 will be tested and installed.
The fourth stage will end in 2020. The SM-3 will be set for better
