Senior Iranian lawmaker Esmail Kowsari has criticized Turkey's agreement concerning deployment of a NATO radar system on its territory, urging Ankara to reconsider its decision, Iranian news agency Press TV reports.
“Turkey's agreement with NATO to deploy a missile system on its soil, while knowing the alliance massacres the people of Afghanistan, and the country's recent stances will definitely be to the disadvantage of the Turkish people and officials,” deputy head of Iranian Parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said on Wednesday
Kowsari said Ankara's actions would cause the Turkish nation to lose their trust in the country's government, and would change the way Muslim countries view Turkey.
Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal previously announced Ankara's plans to host NATO's radar system.
