The main target of the suicide bomber in a bomb blast in a Mediterranean town in southern Turkey, which killed one person and wounded two others on Friday, was either a paramilitary police station, either a crowded market which had been opened on the eve of the event, RIA-Novosti report.
The suspected bomber detonated the explosives near a sentry box after failing to reach his target.
The blast came 10 days after a car exploded near a school in the capital of Turkey, Ankara, which killed three people and wounded 34 others. A Kurdish militant group, the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons or TAK, claimed responsibility for the car bombing and threatened more attacks in retaliation for what it called the government’s “war” against the rebels.
