Dvorkovich forecasts long period of slow economic growth

Russian Presidential Advisor Arkady Dvorkovich is attending a conference entitled “Russian Bank Sector: opportunities and threats in the new reality” at Alfa-Bank today. The official forecasts a long period of slow economic growth in Russia, Yuga.ru reports.

It is pointless to expect a growth rate of 3-4% annually, 1-2% seems like a more realistic figure, he said. Prices will rise over prices for energy resources. There are no radical changes expected in economy, social development and banking. He said that the state of economy is “not bad”.

Dvorkovich stressed the need for staff reshuffles. The authorities are detached from society, he went on. He also sees a need for the decentralization of authority. Decisions in the country are made by 20-30 people. This demonstrates poor efficiency, he concluded.
