People involved in nationalistic disorders at Manezhnaya Square may be sentenced to 4-8 years imprisonment

The prosecutor of the nationalistic disorders at Manezhnaya Square in December 2010 has demanded five people involved to be sentenced to 4-8 years of prison, Gazeta.ru reports.


The prosecutor demanded a member of the Other Russia Movement, Igor Berezyuk from Belarus, to be sentenced to 8 years, while another activist, Kirill Unchuk, was proposed five years due to lack of other indictments. The prosecutor suggested 6 years for Ruslan Khubayev and 4 for Leonid Panin, as he apologised to an OMON officer for his actions. Alexander Kozevin may get 4.5 years imprisonment.


They were accused of mass disorders, hatred and hostilities, violence against the authorities and involvement of a minor. The prosecutor excluded the hooligan aspect from the case.
