Russian plenipotentiary presidential envoys to federal districts may work on economic issues by moving from the presidential administration to the government office and becoming vice-premiers, Vedomosti reports.
A working group headed by Vice-Premier Dmitry Kozak will prepare a report for President Dmitry Medvedev on centralization for December 1.
The initiative to promote them to vice-premiers started in summer. Alexander Khloponin, Vice-Premier and Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, shares the view. He monitors the policy and coordinates financial funds from the federal center.
