Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be questioned about fraud in Iranian parliament

ranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been summoned to the country's parliament for questioning concerning fraud, in a case linked to the former economy minister, Gazeta.ru reports.

The fraud caused damage of $3.2 billion.

Observers point out a conflict between Ahmadinejad and Ayatollah Khameini. Tehran officially denies the case, despite some resignations.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei demanded the resignation of Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslei in spring 2011.

Ahmadinejad dismissed the head of his administration, Esfandiyar Rahim-Mashaye. The minister was disliked by both the opposition and Khamenei. The supreme leader did not want Rahim-Mashaye as vice-president in 2009.
