Saakashvili shares his plans after his presidential term ends

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said in an interview with EurActiv that he would "not be very
interested" in the post of prime minister after his presidential term
expires.

"Under the new constitution of Georgia, the president has considerable
powers. Although the Prime Minister is an important figure, he is totally
dependent on the parliament," Interfax quotes Saakashvili.

In October last year the Georgian parliament adopted changes and amendments
to the Constitution, under which the country will become a parliamentary
republic in 2013 instead of a presidential one.
