The UN General Assembly supported Palestine and demanded Israel to withdraw from occupied territories on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.
The General Assembly demanded Israel to leave the territory occupied in 1967, including Eastern Jerusalem. It recommended to hold an international conference in Moscow, according to resolutions of the Security Council N1850 passed in 2008.
The UN GA called for removal of crossing points and other obstacles for people and freighting.
Concerning the Gaza blockade, the General Assembly demanded all border crossing points to be opened for humanitarian goods to improve life conditions and support restoration of economy.
The UN GA demanded Israel to fulfill its obligations in the international law and stop all unilateral actions on the occupied Palestinian territory, including Eastern Jerusalem, aimed at demographic changes. Israel must stop all settling activities on the occupied territories.
Another resolution concerns occupation of Syrian territories by Israel and demands resolving problems with Syria and Lebanon. It demands withdrawal from the Golan Heights to the border as it was until June 4, 1967. The heights were occupied in the six-day war of 1967.
The General Assembly wants UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to present a report on fulfillment of the resolutions by the 76th session.
