Both supporters and opponents of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin are preparing for tomorrow's rallies.
Opposition leaders, human rights activists, environmentalists and others who oppose Vladimir Putin's 12 years of rule will gather tomorrow on Bolotnaya Square in the center of Moscow.
Those who support the prime minister will go to Poklonnaya Gora next to the Kremlin.
A series of protests in many Russian cities started in December, after the parliamentary elections were held. Fraud was reported by opposition parties, civil activists and international observes. The United States, the European Union and the OSCE condemned the elections as unfair, but the Russian authorities seem reluctant to declare the polls illegitimate. Both President Dmity Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said the elections were valid.
In January the Central Electoral Commission refused to register Professor Grigory Yavlinky, founder of the liberal Yabloko party, as a presidential candidate, worsening the political situation in the country.
Both the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition now seem discontent with Putin's regime.
Many believe that tomorrow will show whether the protests will continue and expand or come to an end. The opposition is preparing for the rally, while it's still extremely cold in the Russian capital. It will reportedly be 20-25 degrees Celsius below zero tomorrow in Moscow
