Amendments to the law on state secrets have been introduced to the Georgian parliament. Passing them would declassify certain information about Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the so-called Tskhinvali Region, News Georgia reports.
The bill states that state secrets include threats to Georgia and measures for their neutralization. The measures include actions on the “occupied territories”.
The bill was initiated by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and the National Security Council. Discussions of the bill will start at parliamentary committees next week.
