Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has denied information on sending major police groups to Dagestan, his press service says.
He commented that some media sources purposefully give false information about 25,000 police officers sent to Dagestan to provoke tensions between regions and peoples. Kadyrov believes that people spreading such rumours feel compassion towards the militants and do not want neutralization of the latter.
The Chechen leader says that servicemen groups in Chechnya are subordinate to the Defense Ministry and the Interior Ministry and are part of the Russian Armed Forces, under supervision of the supreme commander. He reminded that they arrived from other regions of Russia.
Kadyrov reminded that efficient combating of wahhabism, terrorist and crime was under intense discussions 10 years ago. Armed militants were entering Chechnya and committing crime, killing police officers and religious figures. The Chechen leader noted the cause of Rappani Khalilov and members of the Nogay Jamaat.
Kadyrov emphasized that Chechnya strives to rid itself of bandits, remaining international terrorists and stop young people from joining militants. He believes that it can be achieved by exchange of information, assistance in solving crime cases, organization of joint operations.
