The U.S. increases aid to Syrian opposition

U.S. President Barack Obama has signed an executive order to increase the amount of aid to the Syrian opposition, the Associated Press reports, citing a source in the presidential administration.
In particular, it is planned to increase the supply of so-called non-fatal care: medical supplies, radios and other equipment to help anti-government forces fight the regime of Bashar al-Assad, according to RBC.

Information about the organization of supply channels of anti-government forces has repeatedly appeared in the media over the last month. In particular, the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says that Ankara is ready to contribute to this process, explaining this by the desire to put an end to the instability in the region.

A day before, a truce came  into effect in Syria, which was established in accordance with the plan of the special envoy of UN  and the League of Arab States (LAS), Kofi Annan. However, the populations of some cities met establishing a cease-fire with anti-government demonstrations, during which at least five people have been killed.

In turn, the official Syrian media reported on the completion of the operation on normalizing the situation in the country. At the same time, it is reported that new attacks on the national army have occurred.
