According to social polls of the Caucasian Research Resource Center in 2011, most Georgians consider themselves happy, despite unemployment, Georgia Online reports.
Some 61% of people questioned had no jobs, 33% had no income for a month, 22% had income under 140 lari, 57% considered themselves happy, 27% called themselves very happy. Only 12% said that they felt unhappy and 4% called themselves very unhappy.
Some 64% of people questioned said that they do not give up after failures in life, 7% give up.
The social polls were carried out in July-August 2011. Sociologists questioned 2509 people. The study was financed by the American International Development Agency.
