A passenger plane bound from Kazan to Krasnodar was forced to make an emergency landing in Krasnodar.
“In the area of human settlement Sirotinskaya of Krasnodar territory in the cabin a warning light came on indicating that the temperature in the left engine was too high. The captain of the YAK-42 plane decided to switch off the left engine and continue the flight to Krasnodar airport with two engines,” reported to Interfax in the South regional centre of Russia’s emergencies ministry.
According to the information of southern aviation search-and-rescue centre the plane safely landed in the airport of Krasnodar at 5.36 pm Moscow time on Sunday. In addition to the crew there were 73 people on board, including six children. A safe landing was ensured by 54 airport officials and emergencies experts and 15 units of special equipment.
