Turkey says number of Syria observers is insufficent

Turkey's prime minister said on Saturday that the number of observers to be sent to Syria was insufficient, World Bulletin reports.

Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said more observers should be sent to Syria.

"I think that more observers, maybe thousands of observers, should be sent to Syria," Erdogan told reporters in Doha, Qatar.

Erdogan's remarks came before the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution to establish a 300-member observer mission in Syria.

Erdogan said the more the number of observers sent to Syria was, the more they could observe the entire country.

After delivering a speech at the 13th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Erdogan left Qatar for Turkey.
