Five political parties in Armenia have been negotiating with the National Security Service (NSS) of the country in order to receive information on citizens who are not currently in the country to monitor the electoral lists, deputy head of the campaign headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), David Arutyunyan, said on Saturday.
Arutunyan said the parties are trying to establish additional mechanisms for monitoring the elections, News-Armenia reports.
Arutyunyan said that preliminary discussions with the National Security Service had already taken place and that their first reaction was positive.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on May 6.
