Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili made a public speech in Kutaisi on Wednesday and said that he wants to be buried on the border of Abkhazia, Vzglyad reports.
Abkhazia has been recognized as an independent state by Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
44-year old Saakashvili said that he wants to be dispersed at Anaklia a village on the border of Abkhazia where a resort is to be built.
The president called Tbilisi a historic and cultural center of the whole Caucasus, including Armenia and Azerbaijan. He wants to develop tourism in 204 years.
Saakashvili’s terms of office end in 2013, a leader of the Republican Party Tina Khidasheli said.
Saakashvili made a speech at a theater in Kutaisi.
