North Korea calls itself nuclear state

North Korea has called itself a nuclear state in its Constitution, ITAR-TASS reports.

Analysts say North Korea is trying to be recognized as a nuclear state. Amendments to the Constitution were introduced in April 2012.

The Constitution has been renamed to the Constitution of Kim Il-Sung, while Kim Il Sung’s Constitution was renamed to the Constitution of Kim Chong-Il. In other words, Kim Chong-Un honored his father who died in late 2011. Kim Chong-Il became the Secretary General of the Labour Party for life on April 11.

The Constitution was adopted on December 27, 1972. The only amendments passed were made in April 1992.
