Former Chechen Prime Minister Odes Baysultanov will work on social problems of the North Caucasus as a deputy of Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Alexander Khloponin, Kommersant reports.
Vice Premier Khloponin appointed Baysultanov as his deputy in Grozny. The deputy will specialize in social problems, including education, medicine, sports and culture.
Baysultanov’s predecessor Suleiman Vagapov left Khloponin at own will. The presidential envoy said that Vagapov got “very tired”.
Baysultanov made a swift climb up the carrier ladder with the help of Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov, being his first cousin. Baysultanov was the chief executive of the government and became a Prime Minister in just two years, keeping the position since 2007.
The Grozny City skyscraper, Ahmat-Arena sports complex and the Heart of Chechnya Mosque with a capacity of 10,000 people were built during his being the prime minister.
