Iran to be recognized as expert against Flame cyber virus

Iran says that 30 states have requested support in preventing the Flame cyber virus used for information theft, Trend reports.

Australia, Netherlands, India and Malaysia requested help. Specialists of Kaspersky Lab, the largest anti-virus software manufacturer, discovered the virus collecting information in computers of the Middle East. Its complexity shows that it was designed by high-skilled professionals, rather than ordinary hackers. Iran and Israel are suffer the most.

Iran claimed last month that it was first to discover the virus by its specialists of the Computer Emergency Response Center.

Flame is capable of adjusting PC settings, stealing files and information displayed on the monitor, user data and audio conversations. About 1000-5000 computers all over the world have been infected. Most of them are in Iran (189), then Israel (including Palestinian territories, 98), Sudan (32), Syria(30), Lebanon (18), Saudi Arabia (10) and Egypt (5).

Experts insist that the virus was made by specialists, due to its complicated code, unlike Stuxnet launched against Iranian nuclear facilities in 2010. It does not harm the work of computers, it only collects data.
