Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Israel at about noon on June 25. His delegation will consist of about 150 people, 12-15 of them will be high-ranking officials. Businessmen will assist the delegation, IzRus reports.
Putin will attend the opening of the Red Army Memorial in Netanya, sponsored by the Russian Jewish Congress. Then he will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. A meeting with President Shimon Peres is planned for the evening.
The Russian president will visit Bethlehem and open the Russian Cultural and Educational Center granted to the Palestinian Orthodox Society headed by head of the Russian Chamber of Accounts Sergey Stepashin.
Putin will visit Al-Magtas on the eastern bank of Jordan. Russia received a land lot there covering 9100 square km in July 2006.
Anna Azari, Director of the Department for Central Europe and Eurasia of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, visited Moscow last week. A high-ranking Russian official will visit Israel on June 17.
