Russian President Vladimir Putin has approves the state migration concept until 2025, Interfax reports.
The document marks fulfillment of national security, protection and comfort of the population, stability and increase of population, support of economic development with labour, modernization.
Authors of the concept are interested in temporary foreign workforce and has no measures for adaptation or integration of migrants.
The population should reach 142.8-145.6 million people by early 2025. Migrants are a source of increasing population. Russia is less attractive for migrants than other states. The main migrants come from CIS states.
The new generation of CIS migrants shows worse education skills, knowledge of the language and professional skills. Russia has worse territorial mobility than other states as a result of high expenses, poor transport, limited leasing market, high leasing prices and low income.
Putin met Constantine Romodanovski, head of the Russian Federal Migration Service, and ordered him to present new proposals to make the migration policy harsher and discuss it with the public, not only the Public Chamber of lawmakers. Public organizations and national communities are welcome to join, ITAR-TASS reports.
