Turkey has permitted Russia to work at the exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea within the framework of the South Stream project, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, Interfax Azerbaijan reports.
South Stream will have a capacity of up to 63 billion cubic meters to supply Europe with gas bypassing Ukraine. Agreements were signed with Bulgaria, Serbia, hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.
The pipeline project partners are Gazprom with 50% of shares, ENI (Italy, 20%), Wintershall (Germany, 15%) and EDF (France, 15%). Feasibility studies of the gas pipeline in the Southern and Central Europe were concluded in Q3 2011.
