Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has recently said that the country needs a strong army that cannot exist without “an active war”. The Russian Foreign Ministry takes it as hostility threatening peace and stability in Trans-Caucasus, Interfax reports.
Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said that Georgian revengeful mood is also proven by refusal of Tbilisi to sign non-aggression agreements with Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
