A man suspected of murdering General Roman Dumbadze has given himself up to the police on Tuesday, RIA Novosti cites spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin on Wednesday.
A 25-year old Georgian was detained on July 24, 2012, as a supporter of the suspects. The police believe that he is responsible for delivering weapons used to kill Dumbadze.
Former Georgian General Dumbadze was killed at Rublyovskoye Highway, 30, in Moscow on May 21, 2012. He died before medics arrived.
Dumbadze was sentenced for treason in 2004 and extradited from Georgia to Russia in August 2008 in exchange for 12 Georgian soldiers. Dumbadze received was granted Russian citizenship by the president in 2010.
The Presnensky Court of Moscow ordered arrest of Roman Belkania, Alexander Berishvili and Shota Tarugeshvili suspected of murdering the general.
