Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa in Jakarta, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
Nalbandian noted that the visit marked the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two states. He reminded that they had met in Sharm el-Sheikh three months ago to discuss bilateral cooperation. Nalbandian said that Armenia wants to open an embassy in Indonesia.
The foreign ministers discussed cooperation of their Trade and Industry Chambers. They reached an agreement on cultural cooperation, exchanged views on regional and international policy. The Armenian minister presented achievements in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and invited his counterpart to visit Armenia.
The ministers signed a deal on economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
Nalbandian met the Minister for Coordination of Economic Affairs Muhamad Hata Rayasai.
The Armenian minister is on his way to New Zealand.
