An air show marking the 100th anniversary of Russia’s air forces is to be held on Saturday and Sunday in the city of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region, the Voice of Russia reports.
More than a hundred aircraft and helicopters are taking part in the air show. The first part of the show will include planes from the First World War and the Second World War and the second part will include modern aircraft.
Seven foreign display teams are part of the air festivities.
On Saturday, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is expected to attend the air show.
On Sunday the show will be open for a wide audience. The show is expected to gather at least 100,000 viewers.
