Turkish opposition leader calls PM "Tayyip Assad Erdoğan"

Turkey's main opposition leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu slammed Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s response to Republic Day rallies, calling him "Tayyip Assad Erdoğan," Hurriyet reports

"What is it that you are banning? By what logic are you banning it? We need a new title for Erdoğan. Tayyip Assad Erdoğan. Is there any difference in what you have done?"

Kılıçdaroğlu's statements followed previous remarks from Erdoğan branding yesterday's rally participants as "terrorist hooligans."

"People don't want him anymore," Kılıçdaroğlu said. "He can't go out and shake their hands anymore, because the people had enough."
