The US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Robert Bradtke, has said that the US, Russia and France should take a greater role in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Azerbaijani BBC service said.
Bradtke said that the role of the leaders of the countries of the OSCE Minsk Group was raised when the US President Barack Obama joined a declaration made in Canada and after the visit of the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the south Caucasus.
In his interview he noted that sometimes small steps have more significance and the sides agree with the Helsinki principles. They approve the six elements presented by the presidents of the USA, France and Russia. They are the temporary and final status of Nagorno-Karabakh, the return of the occupied territories, a direct corridor between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, the right of refugees and forced migrants to return and the international guarantees of peace in the region.
