The Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers, Manuchehr Mottaki and Ahmet Davutoglu, met in Portugal, a Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, Trend reports.
Ramin Mekhmanparast added that the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and trilateral agreements on fuel exchange for a research reactor of Tehran.
The trilateral agreement was concluded on May 17th between Iran, Turkey and Brazil. According to the agreement, Tehran will exchange low enriched uranium (up to 3.5%) for highly enriched fuel (up to 20%) for the research reactor. The exchange will be carried out on the territory of Turkey. Iran will send 1.2 tons of low enriched uranium for 120 kg of nuclear fuel.
