Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has proposed to Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili to immediately start a dialogue, according to a statement of the president posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Trend reports.
Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili "unconditionally" and "unequivocally" condemned violence displayed by the protesters on February 8, resulting in disruption of President's speech at the National Library. The prime minister also expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue with Saakashvili and his team.
President Saakashvili expressed his willingness to meet on Monday to discuss the situation in the country.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili's statement, circulated the day before, may only be regarded positively, as the prime minister for the first time offered me and the parliamentary minority to start a dialogue," Saakashvili said.
