A Californian court has ruled in favor of Turkey on the claim submitted by a group of Armenian-Americans about the territory of the U.S. military base in Incirlik, Turkey, the TV channel CNN Turk reports. The lawsuit lasted for almost three years. In December 2010, a group of Armenian-Americans, led by the famous American lawyer Vardges Egiyan, filed a lawsuit in which the descendants of the victims of the Armenian genocide claimed that the Turkish government has appropriated territories belonging to their ancestors, the area of which amounted to several dozen hectares. They demanded compensation worth $64 million. These lands, according to the plaintiffs, are located in the province of Adana in southern Turkey, where currently the U.S. military base in Incirlik is situated.
