Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said in Tbilisi today that Georgia acts as a link in the East-West transit corridor and needed to form a strong trade transit center to boost commerce.
Georgia will improve transport infrastructure, business climate and cooperate with neighbours to accomplish the objective.
Attendants of the conference discussed economic integration in South Caucasus and Central Asia. It was organized by the Institute for Central Asia and Caucasus. US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Southern and Central Asia Lynne Tracey took part in the talks.
