International human rights organization Human Rights Watch has accused Iraq, Turkey and Jordan of refusing to accept refugees from Syria, the organization's website reports.
As pointed out by the organization, the authorities of Syria's neighboring countries have closed most of the border checkpoints in recent months.
Human rights activists say that the states pass through a limited number of people wishing to leave Syria, but thousands of refugees are forced to concentrate on the border in unsanitary conditions.
According to Human Rights Watch, only Lebanon is in compliance with the policy of open borders for refugees from Syria, the BBC reports.
