Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and about 200 journalists are having a press conference at the Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel in Tbilisi. Ivanishvili said that territorial integrity of Georgia should be of interest to Abkhazia and South Ossetia in order to be successful, Trend reports.
He believes that regular flights between Georgia and Russia will improve bilateral relations, but restoration of diplomatic relations before the 2014 Olympic Games of Sochi is unlikely. The PM noted that barbed wire on the border of Georgia and South Ossetia was aggravating the process.
Ivanishvili assumes that he would have 20 more years to give tips and help form a new society in Georgia. He plans to invest in the Georgian Investment Fund, formed in November 2012. The fund will invest 75% of the sum of a project a businessman offers.
Ivanishvili said that he had announced mobilization of $3 billion of capital and was expecting $5 billion. The investments may exceed $10 billion. Special attention was paid to Cartu Bank, News Georgia reports.
Georgia wants to join the NATO and held a session of the Euro-Atlantic Council in Tbilisi last week. Georgia will not scrap the plans to join the alliance, as fixed in a referendum in 2008.
The prime minister said that railway communications through Abkhazia will be restored.
Ivanishvili held the previous press conference attended by 150 journalists on November 22, 2012.
